System File Checker
A new feature of Windows 98 is System File Checker. This will check your system and reinstall any corrupted files that you may have. You will need the Windows 98 CD. You can also extract any file that you may need with this feature. The first step is to go to the Start button and click Run as illustrated here in the screenshot.
