Dial Up Networking Error Messages

This section pertains to error messages that we get pertaining to Dial Up Networking. Select an error message to get possible solutions for the particular error message.

Unable To Open Communications Port. The port is either in use by another telephony application or is not supported.

The Microsoft Dial Up Adapter is not installed or is not working properly. In the network section of Control Panel , remove the driver and then add it again.

"Obtain IP Address Automatically " As Opposed To "Specify IP Address"
